Hydration Tracker ("the App") is a personal hydration tracking application available on iOS and Windows. Your privacy is important to us.
1. Information We Collect
When you use the App without signing in, all data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect any personal information.
When you sign in using Google or Microsoft, we collect:
- Account identifier — your name, email address, and profile picture from your sign-in provider
- Hydration data — drink entries (type, amount, timestamp) that you log in the App
- Device information — device name and timezone for cross-device sync
2. How We Use Your Information
- To sync your hydration data across your devices
- To calculate achievements and badges based on your hydration history
- To display your profile information within the App
We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal data to third parties.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored on Microsoft Azure servers located in the United States. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an encrypted database.
4. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page in the App.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services for authentication only:
- Google Sign-In — governed by Google's Privacy Policy
- Microsoft Sign-In — governed by Microsoft's Privacy Statement
We use Microsoft Application Insights for anonymous crash reporting and performance monitoring. No personal data is included in telemetry.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your Rights
You may:
- Access your data within the App (History and Settings pages)
- Delete individual entries by swiping left (iOS) or hovering (Windows)
- Delete your entire account and data from Settings
- Contact us with any privacy questions
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
